The Waller cheerleaders are a vibrant part of the Waller Independent School District (Waller ISD) community. They hold themselves to a high standard, not only in their performances but also in their academic and disciplinary conduct. Here’s how they support the community: Ambassadors of School Spirit: They perform at various sporting events, including football, volleyball, and basketball games, to boost school spirit and support their fellow students. Leadership and Discipline: As representatives of Waller ISD, the cheerleaders are expected to be confident leaders who are polite and respectful, setting a positive example for their peers. Community Engagement: By participating in school events and possibly other community activities, they help foster a sense of unity and pride within the Waller area. The cheerleaders’ commitment to excellence in both their sport and their academic life reflects the values of Waller ISD, which emphasizes the importance of supporting not just the school but the broader community as well. They are indeed a team that works hard to perfect their routines and cheers, contributing to the lively and supportive atmosphere at Waller ISD events. The Waller High School cheerleaders help raise funds via the advertising in the football program, which the JV cheerleaders used to sell as fans enter the stadium on home varsity football games. However, beginning with the Fall 2024 football season, the programs will be available online only. Local business owners and managers can reach out to 2024-25 Cheer Booster Club President Beth Breaux to help support the cheerleaders. Additionally, the cheerleaders participate in the Relay for Life and donate funds every year, according to the booster club president. The Waller High School cheerleaders and the Waller PeeWee Football Association cheerleaders group together during the 2023 varsity football season opener. The Waller Bulldog varsity team battled the Bryan Vikings, with the 21-6 decision favoring the Vikings.
